Camping trip for June will be to the Chickahominy Riverfront Park.  There the scouts will be able to practice their canoeing skills doing a 6 mile loop during the day on Saturday.  Map of the 6 mile canoe route can be viewed here: http://www.mappedometer.com/?maproute=686321

The cost will be $35 per participant which covers camping and food.  The troop is picking up the cost of the canoe rentals.

If you want to fish there will be opportunities to fish from canoes or from the bank.  A fresh water license is required for all fishing in the park for anyone over the age of 16.  For anyone 16 years of age and older wanting to fish, you will need to acquire this license before the camping trip.  https://www.dgif.virginia.gov/licenses/

Please signup early so we can be sure to have the appropriate number of canoes and camping spots reserved.  Signup calendar event can be accessed here: https://troop777.mytroop.us/node/8635
