We should be done by 11:30 AM. Bring an old derby car that you built, and we can have a special troop race at the end of the morning. It will be a fun morning to help out our neighborhood Cub pack. Register today, so we'll know who can help. Service hours!

This will be an opportunity for our troop to meet and talk with potential Webelos recruits and their parents as the boys begin the process of transitioning to Boy Scouts. For Webelos trying to figure out where to transition, it will be a great opportunity to meet and talk to leaders of several potential troops as they begin the process of moving to a Boy Scout troop.

Coming up in late January is an opportunity to take part in the Patrick Henry Public Speaking Program. The district is offering the Public Speaking and Communications merit badges through this program. (You can sign up for the Communications MB this year if you already have Public Speaking). The fee is $10.00 and it will take place at Short Pump Middle School. Please see the attached flyer for more information. The troop will not be doing this as a group activity, but boys are encouraged to sign up and attend!

Here's something new! Spring Break Boy Scout Camp. It's being held April 9-13 at Camp Brady Saunders. This is an opportunity to earn Eagle-required and other merit badges that may not normally be available at summer camp or merit badge weekend. Spring Break Camp is open to troops and also to provisional campers. The cost is $180.00 per scout, which covers meals, patch, and activities. We will discuss this further in upcoming PLC and troop meetings. If this sounds interesting to you, please contact Mr. Blackmore.
